We had such a fun time this weekend! Even though the forecast said 15 degrees with the windchill, we managed to keep warm. Snowshoeing for a mile was perfect - the snowy pillows on every tree branch made me forget how heavy the pack on my back was. I can't believe people do this for many miles at a time! The boys raced ahead and apparently had a bit of a fight - Daniel wound up down in the snow, go figure. Leah needed suspenders to keep up her non-maternity ski pants - so funny! We arrived at the hut and couldn't believe how cute it was! The Andrews quickly got the fire going and it was toasty warm before we knew it. We spent our time eating, drinking hot chocolate, eating more, playing cards, and entertaining Zachary and Zoe with songs, books and fun. The cutest was Zachary saying "Zoo-ey," and we'll forget the fact that he likes Daniel more than me. The hike back this morning seemed way shorter (perhaps because we ate all of our food so our backpacks were lighter?) The sunshine on the trees and snow made everything sparkle. It was gorgeous!
