Fun in December

We've had a fun-filled month with Jonah, family and friends. Here are 3 Hanukkah scrapblogs and a slideshow of other photos - Brooke's thrift-store-formal-birthday-bash, a holiday party at Matt and D's house, and some random Jonah shots of course!

Thanksgiving Funblog, etc.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year. Everyone brought something - check out Leah's gorgeous turkey! We had fun taking lots of pictures and eating delicious food. What a great holiday!

Saturday night, Melanie and I went to see Michael Franti and Spearhead. As always, they put on an awesome show and we had a fantastic time as usual. Highlights included: a beautiful set that I tried to get good pictures of, a song all about Barack Obama, great covers: Casey Jones, Come Together and Revolution. There were also these cool aeralist performers (you can see them on the sides of the stage in one picture) as well as a group of people dressed as fall leaves. Had to get a picture of them! Enjoy the slideshow from last night's pictures.

Zoe's 2nd Birthday

Last weekend we celebrated Zoe's 2nd birthday with presents, NY pizza that was actually pretty good, and homemade cake... YUM! Here are some pictures from the party.
Other news: Jonah is huge! We went to the doctor today and he weighs 12 pounds, 4 ounces. Chunky monkey! He is smiling a lot more, but it's so hard to capture that on film. I will try though!

"Welcome to the World" Shower for Jonah

This past weekend, Leah, Sondra and Jessica threw Jonah and me a baby shower! It was so nice to have all of my Colorado friends and family in one room.... and so special that Jess came all the way from NY to be here for it! I didn't "scrapblog" since Jessica made an entire scrapBOOK for Jonah to keep the pictures in from this wonderful day. Everyone took a turn holding Jonah and making wishes for him...we will treasure those words and pictures always! Everyone played a fun game and ate yummy food! What a great day!

Fun Fall Festivities

Last night was the 6th Annual Scavenger Hunt that my friends Amy and D' put together every year. They work soooo hard and it's always a blast. This year was no exception! Here is a slideshow of my photos, as well as 3 fall scrapblogs!

Fun times!

Perhaps I'm addicted to this scrapblogging site. Not good! Although, it's much less time consuming than actual scrapbooking so maybe it's a good thing :)
Remember you can click on the scrapblog picture to make it bigger. Enjoy the updates on Jonah!

Jonah Ari is loving life!

Here are a few more pictures of life with Jonah. We've been having so much fun with him! For the most part he is a really good baby...he has his fussy moments but his cuteness more than makes up for it!

Bath Time

Daniel wants to be the parent in charge of baths since feeding is pretty much my department.  My friend from work showed me her "scrapblog" and now I had to try it.  Click on the picture to see it a little bigger... I can't figure out how to put it on here bigger!  But, I thought it was so cute and now I have another fun way to share pictures of Jonah's adventures :)  Stay tuned for more scrapblogs to come!

Jonah's first week or so...

Sorry I've been slow in putting up pictures. I know lots of you have been asking for more .... we do have a new baby to take care of!
Enjoy these pictures of some of Jonah's visitors and his bris.
His favorite activities so far: sleeping, eating, hanging out with his 4 grandparents, eating, sleeping... you get the idea!

Welcome Jonah Ari!

Jonah Ari Baron was born today! His arrival was quite the ordeal that will be explained at a later date, but for now we just wanted to share the good news and the picture of our adorable new son! We are all healthy and happy at this point :)

Surprise!

This week at Erin's girls night my wonderful friends planned a surprise celebration - it was all about me - soooo sweet! There was a fun New York theme going on... too cute! There's a little tradition going on to make a "birthing bracelet" when someone is going to have a baby. Everyone picks a special bead and together they will bring (in this case, me) strength and blessings during the birth. I love my bracelet.... it's beautiful and has so much love behind it! The girls also made some CD's for the baby and me... can't wait to dance around with him or her!
Here is a slideshow of pictures from Thursday night.

Happy Birthday to Julie and Amy!

We celebrated Julie's and Amy's birthdays at girls night, as well as watching Obama's speech at the DNC. It was such a fun night in D's beautiful new home!

Karyn visits!

I am so proud of myself that I figured out how to put a slideshow on here with some pictures of Karyn's visit this weekend. We did lots of relaxing, watching of movies, shopping, laying by the pool, and EATING!
Here are a few of our favorite pictures. The first couple are from this popular new place "Five Guys Burgers and Fries" where we met the enthusiastic Brandon who spent about 10 minutes with us and only spoke in absolutes. I had receipt number 28 but I was definitely #1 in his book. The fries were out of control. That night we all went out to sushi (yum! But cooked rolls only!) Today we shopped at the farmer's market, had high tea at the Brown Palace and then played BINGO at night! How fun that there's a place right near my house... serious BINGO playing going on. Too bad we didn't win any money... but it was very entertaining. Come back soon, Kar!

Weekend in Breckenridge

Daniel and I went up to Breckenridge for the weekend (because we donated the red car, we got a 2 night voucher - little did we know it was for the Best Western...and we had to listen to a 2 hour timeshare shpiel.) But, I wanted to schedule it close to our anniversary so it could be a celebration! We had a fun time - the weather held out even though we had packed our winter clothes, and we spent lots of time just relaxing.
Walking on main street was fun - Daniel was taking pictures like crazy. There were lots of pretty flowers and the funniest little bench that I thought I might break with my extra pounds!
The one little glitch in our otherwise lovely weekend was that I fell down the slippery steps at the hotel pool, hit my head and wound up with the most sore tush ever! Other than a big bruise, I'm fine (and the baby is, too) but it was not very fun.... neither has sitting down been the past couple of days!

Catching Up

I haven't been blogging in awhile... but here are a couple of pictures from Jill's birthday celebration in the beginning of the month. We went to Cuba Cuba for dinner - so yummy! The girls had a great night, as always!

Here's a picture from our anniversary dinner. 5 years sure flies by quickly! We have an anniversary tradition: out to dinner, watch the wedding video and look at the photo album and scrapbook. We skipped the photos this year - too tired!

Kathy's 60th birthday

We had tons of fun celebrating Kathy's 60th birthday on Sunday. The park by Leah and Andrew's house was hosting a picnic so we headed over there for some outdoor fun. Zoe and Zachary are just too cute together! They loved running around and saying hello to the walking potty. Tons of hot dogs, snow cones, watermelon and music were enjoyed by everyone. Then we went back for the most beautiful birthday cake ever!
