Fun with Jonah and Grandpa

My grandpa came from Florida for a visit. He and Jonah had a great time getting to know one another. We relaxed at home, went on the Coors brewery tour, and visited Idaho Springs and Red Rocks. It was a wonderful week!

Jonah's skin is finally looking better after I broke down and used the topical steroid. Hopefully this is something he'll outgrow and won't have to deal with his whole life.

Happy First Father's Day to Daniel! He and Jonah had some bonding time that day at the dog park :)

Just this week Jonah figured out how to feed himself a bit. He's been loving his little X's and O's cereal and is so happy when I put some down on his highchair tray.

We can finally see Jonah's teeth! Closely look at the picture of him laughing wearing the brown shirt. There really are teeth in that little mouth!

Jonah LOVES his exersaucer! Thanks Auntie Alyssa!

Madi Turns 3!

Madi's birthday party was lots of fun with friends!

Family Fun

Later that day we went to Leah and Andrew's house for a little get-together with Alice and Bruce. Zoe made me a necklace AND she carries her water bottle with two fingers, "just like Megan." We did a great job with the self-timer for a family photo opp!

Rainbows and Rent

Ever since we got back from NY, Jonah's cheeks have been terrible due to eczema. The poor boy has been scratching and rubbing and just miserable about it. I was trying lots of natural remedies for awhile but none seemed to work for him :(

Jonah saw his first rainbow... actually a double rainbow but it's hard to see in the picture!

Daniel and I went to see Rent. It was amazing, as always, and we sat right up front. Jonah bought his daddy tickets for Father's Day! What a great idea ;)

Jonah the Traveling Man

We spent over 2 weeks in New York and New Jersey this month. Check out the (long) slideshow of our favorite photos. It was so nice to get away, to see so many friends and family members, and for Jonah to meet everyone! Sadly, he did not get to enjoy the foods that I loved partaking in: bagels, pizza, and coffee from Dunkin' Donuts! Since we've been back home, Jonah has been super cranky. I thought he just missed New York until I felt his gums -- he is cutting his first tooth! Sleeping has been a challenge lately and I'm hoping when he's finished teething we can get back on track. Jonah's been moving all over the room by rolling... still no crawling. Lots of babbling and he's trying to imitate us waving to him. This is a super fun age and we know that it will just get better and better!

It's been so long!

I know it's been a month since I've posted... so much has been going on but there's no time to get pictures on here! We've celebrated Passover, enjoyed another visit with Grandma Alice, gone on tons of walks on our nice days, eaten lots of new foods, and had lots of laughs. Jonah cracks up now (sometimes for no apparent reason) and it's just the cutest thing ever! He loves sitting up and babbling, playing with toys and dancing. He is getting so much stronger and it seems like he'll be crawling pretty soon, but who knows! So far, no teeth (and I'm not at all upset about that!) Our next post will be of photos from the east coast - the three of us leave on Friday! Can't wait to see everyone!
